Recently had a huge sort out of my parents old home and aside from a lot of very cringeworthy items from my early teenage years (no comment). I came across my old Smarty Bear.

Amazingly mine still works. And it sounded exactly how I remembered it. Saying the same 6/7 sentences over and over, and still as frustrating for either being too sensitive or not at all.
I can see why it's lasted for so long. With so many batteries inside it's amazing it ever had any in it to begin with! 6 C's and 4 AA's.
My kids loved it, for all of about 10 minutes.
Yet I can't bring myself to get rid of it, so off into the loft it goes until we have our next sort out
